Our Flat
Kai was jazzed to see a London taxi parked right in front of our place one morning.
Here is our building. The steeple you see poking up from behind is a little Armenian church built in the Victorian period to look medieval - in other words, its age is faked, but it's still really beautiful.
That's our flat. The window looks into our (only) room. It's small, but so is our family.
Hmm, Ken, it's pretty darn close. The flat is a wee bit larger than a postage stamp. They took these grand old apartments and cut them up into single units a while back, which in some ways is a shame. Great moldings, though, wine grapes edging the ceiling is something I've always dreamed of...
Gorgeous building. I wish I'd gotten to live someplace like that when I was in London.
ReplyDeleteThe big question is which apartment has the square-footage edge in a Japan vs. UK face-off?
